Happy Halloween!!!

We started the day with Maddie's parade at school...they were all so cute, and it was so neat to see how creative some of the parents got with costumes (and how good the kids were about keeping it all together :P) and Maddie's artwork/party table setting.

Then Chu Steven and Erica helped carve our pumpkins...then we had our "annual" Halloween party at home with the AGG *including the Lattins back from DC for a visit and even JUSTIN made it with his parents...and the Paraschacs!

And of course, what's Halloween without pics of cute little kids like Reagan celebrating her 1st one! and Reina and RJ Barreras (Gina B's Snow White and Buzz!)
(**Thank you Parents for sending me pics and allowing me to blog about them!**)

More pics of Justin

This is what happens when a new baby arrives...pics, pics and MORE pics!  These are random pics sent to me by Ange (thanks to Jay's cousin Bonnie!) and CpC.  He's sooooo cuddly and adorable! AND don't you think the pic of Jay and Justin is precious?!  Justin is definitely a  WONG!

Kinda funny if you note how Kaeli had the same expression Adam did just staring at Justin...

Slow blogging week..

This is what happens when Mark travels for work.  I just try to keep the brats pre-occupied because they tend to have a sixth sense when it comes to their dad and when he leaves/returns.  I give so much credit to Single parents.  Being with these things 24/7...sheesh!  Mark didn't believe me until he happened to be on the phone a few times and like clock work, even when he's just at the office working late, they go BERSERK-O when he's supposed to be home and he's not.  It probably doesn't help that their fun (aka Their Ong-y and Ba-y) leaves right before their dad comes home either.

Anyways, with Chu Steven's help, we made it down to Santa Cruz for the Farmer's Market and a trip to see the Nina (replica of what Columbus sailed on in search of the New World) on wednesday afternoon.  Maddie had learned about Christopher Columbus and the ships, so it was fun and exciting for her just to see it.  I have to admit, there's something always so exhilarating when it comes to the ocean and ships...and being near the waves and sea life.

and of course, what's a ship without a pirate?!  guess it was after hours...

A diamond...

is actually called a "rhombus"... per Maddie.

So much for trying to dumb her down :)  Now, if only she can tell the difference between a D and E color...or princess and asscher cut...

Boo Boo's big day...

He went POTTY on the POTTY! :)

Meeting Justin...

My precious petit AGG-offspring :)

Adam shocked at what Uncle Jay and Auntie Ange must be doing to make Justin cry... NO! it wasn't because the 9ers had a(nother) horrible game...

Halloween Begins...

I guess this year we're getting to put our costumes to good use...Friday night, we went to our 1st Halloween party at the Knudsen's Haunted House (Maddie's friend Matthew) ALL dressed up, Maddie was Princess Aurora, Adam, Mark and I were pirates :)  Maddie's ballet class also had a halloween party.  We convinced her to wear my pirate costume since her princess gown may get in the way of her dancing...after some negotiations, pirate girl emerged.  And then, we went to the annual downtown Campbell trick or treating in the afternoon.  Pirate girl and Pirate boy...with "baby brother pirate" too.

the paper mAche pumpkin...or is it?

Maddie's Pumpkin MACHE
(which btw, if you put too much paint it will collapse...and collapse is a word for pop)

Yes, Adam is wearing "cowboy boots" in the 80 degree weather...apparently, fashion "appropriate" footwear isn't exclusive to Mommy or Maddie :)  And Maddie told him he needs to live in Texas because that's where ALL cowboys live!

Making Strides...the WALK!

What a day!  It is a much smaller event than the AVON walk we did, but the awe inspiring people you see and the volunteers along the way?  JUST AS GREAT!   Our day started at 5:30 and well, Boo Boo wasn't quite ready for the early start to the City....but he and Maddie did AWESOME!   (That's Maddie under all the jackets/blankets/scarves she can pile on!)

We met up with Quyen and her "NAIW entourage" and started at 8:30...we finished the 5 miles (although Mark says it's more like 6-7 since we parked at least a 1/2 mile away :P) at 10:15 AM! And that's with lots of breaks and stops along the way for snacks, Adam to walk, and Golden Gate Park... something oddly enough we don't seem to do unless we are at these events!?  Oh, and for SOMEONE to check their Crackberry (yes, you get great coverage in the middle of the Park!) Mark now appreciates my 13 mile "walks" a little more...

Every time we participate in one of these walks, we really do have the opportunity to not only get in great exercise, but to reflect on all the blessings we have in our lives.  So much courage and inspiration in the sea of PINK!  We walk not only to honor people like Yoriko and Richard for their amazing strength and fight, but we walk so the future generations have hope...

p.s.  Thanks Quyen for being the troop leader and the great shirts!!! KTD Jewelers was a major sponsor :)))  My first "KTD outfit" but Anson reminded me that I didn't include my left and right hand outfits...ok, fine...but my first KTD logoed piece of clothing :)
