Monarch Butterfly Parade

The kids paraded around the ENTIRE playground twice.

Maddie's Class

This is an annual Kindergarten event at the conclusion of their lesson about Monarch butterflies. All the Kinder kids get "dressed" up in their own wings and headbands..then parade around the BIG playground where all the other kids come out of their classrooms and watch.

Sept 16 - Into France

Sept 16 - Figueres: Dali Museum onto France

I think someone is all "droopy" and museum-ed out for the day.

Dali was definitely an "artist" but I found it to be a little too artistic for me...not sure I would decorate my home with his stuff...we took lots of pics but some are "too interesting" to post :)

Another Butterfly poem...

A butterfly came to visit me

Now it's sitting on my knee!

Then it tried to taste my toes

Now it's sitting on my nose!

Butterfly prose

I'm a little white egg on a leaf so green

Then I hatch into a caterpillar fuzzy, long and lean.

I eat a lot of leaves and grow big and fat

Then I spin a blanket around me just like that.

Inside my chrysalis I sleep a deep sleep

When my rest is over from my chrysalis I leap.

I spread out my wings to get ready to fly

Can't catch me now I'm a BUTTERFLY!

Adam's 1st day of Pre-school

Follow the leader... "hurry up Boo! we're gonna be late!"

I can't believe both kids are in school now... where did the time go? I thought I would be elated and super excited...which I guess I am, but I am having a lot of mixed emotions. I no longer have "babies" or toddlers, I HAVE KIDS! :) It's been a great roller coaster of fun (most of the time) with many days of us just hanging out, keeping each other company and/or naps. But there have been so many days where I doubted myself and my ability to be a good mommy...

I hope their enthusiasm for school continues for at least the next 15 years! ;P
