July 4th
How they watched all the fireworks across the horizon!
Maddie wasn't happy we were on the road most of the day, but we had gorgeous weather as we drove down the coast to So Cal. The views of almost 2 hrs of fireworks made up for the car ride though, esp since there wasn't just 1 balcony to watch from either.
The sunset as we arrived at the hotel...AWESOME!

Snowflakes Exhibit
In a bid to become a kindler, gentler Mommy and not sweat the small/not small stuff...I merely took pictures of them scattering..I mean, CREATING...their exhibit!
I did NOT take a pic of the OTHER "activity" they chose to do - something along the lines of "let's see how much water a towel can hold or even if the water leaks through the towels onto bathroom floors"... I just stepped over and looked the other way on my way to bed, while Daddy so graciously cleaned up the mess this morning :)
